With the UCBAC Chesapeake Division title pretty much wrapped up, Patterson Mill (14-3) rolled to an easy non-division win Monday, beating host Edgewood (8-8), 15-1, in five innings.
The Huskies scored three in their first at bat, but blew the game open with a 12-run second inning.
Jacob Michael highlighted the run production, going 2-for-2 with six RBIs, while Nick Cress was also 2-for-2 with four RBIs.
Max Elliott was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI. Other RBI contributors were Thomas Kragh, Eric Raley and Kyle Goudy with one each.
Tyler Hofmann went 2-for-3 with a triple to lead Edgewood and Tayshawn McGraw was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Austin Koehn pitched three innings for the win, striking out two and allowing one hit. Jake Sheesley pitched the final two innings, giving up four hits and an earned run, while striking out three.
Cougars beat Warriors
Fallston (10-6) beat host Havre de Grace (4-15), 6-3, Monday in non-division play.
Senior Sean Harris got the win for the Cougars, tossing six shutout innings. He struck out seven and walked one, while scattering five hits to notch his second win of the year.
Bryce Logan led the Cougars offensively, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and five RBIs. Noah Hagenston got Fallston going with an RBI double in the first that scored Everett Cox. Ryan Tarrant and Cox each finished with two hits and two runs scored and AJ Gibbons had two hits and two stolen bases.
Hawks blank Eagles
North Harford (11-7) blanked host Aberdeen (11-6), 6-0, Monday in a game played at Yankee Stadium at the Ripken Baseball Complex.
Jack Reaves tossed a two-hitter for the win, walking three and striking out two.
Colin Bowling blasted a three-run home run to lead the Hawks offense.
Andrew Brndjar went the distance for Aberdeen, allowing six runs (four earned) on three walks and eight hits. He struck out two.
HCS suffers loss
Harford Christian (6-1) suffered its first loss Saturday, falling to the unbeaten Christian School of York Crusaders, 5-4.
Noah Akers had a pair of RBI base hits in the loss. Ian Edwards and Reiley Tate had three hits apiece.
Edwards also took the loss, giving up just five hits, while striking out eight.
Cougars walk off
Fallston beat visiting Harford Tech, 5-4, Friday in Chesapeake play with a seventh inning, walk-off single from Brett Sperl.
Both teams scored single runs early on and headed to the bottom of the sixth tied at 3. In the Cougars sixth, Noah Hagenston led off with a single and Bryce Logan walked. Sperl singled to load the bases with no outs and after a pop-up out, Kyle Hoover hit a sacrifice fly to put the Cougars on top.
Tech (3-10, 5-11) rallied in the top of the seventh to retie the game. Blake Melchior's third hit of the game drove in the tie run.
The Cougars winning rally started when Everett Cox reached on an error with one out. Ryan Tarrant singled and with two outs, Logan walked to load the bases for Sperl, who came through with the game-winning single through the left side.
Hagenston finished 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored for the Cougars. Sperl and Blake Loewe also had two hits for Fallston. Sean Harris picked up the win in relief after coming in and shutting down the Cobras in the seventh.
Aberdeen beats Bo
Aberdeen defeated host Bo Manor, 9-3, Friday in Susquehanna play.
David Fulp pitched four innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks. Dylan Mariano pitched three innings, allowing no runs and two walks. Mariano stuck out one.
Andrew Brndjar went 3-for-5 with a run scored to lead the Eagles and Sam Smith was 2-for-5 with a run and two RBIs. Jack Smith was 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs and Christian Melendez went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Mariners upend Warriors
Joppatowne (1-10, 2-13) earned its first Susquehanna win on Friday, knocking off visiting Havre de Grace, 11 -7.
Triston Doering pitched a complete game for his second win and contributed a two-run base hit to aid his cause. The offense was paced by Tyler Yost, 3-for-3, and Jorden Meads, also 3-for-3. Meads also had an outstanding defensive day in centerfield. Austin Michum finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs.
