Crowley took Dennis down just inside the first minute of the match and then finished it off.
In the preceding match at 170, Fallston junior Christian Wilson was beaten by major decision, 9-0, by Evan Mansfield of Snow Hill.
“I came here expecting to place third because I was seeded the number three seed. I upset the number two seed, which is pretty exciting and I didn’t bring it my full in the first place match, but I’ll see him at states, right?,”Wilson said.
Havre de Grace senior Alex Lloyd faced a familiar opponent in the 138 final; Silas Filliaux of Rising Sun.
Filliaux beat Lloyd for the second time in a week. Filliaux controlled Lloyd from the start for a 12-2 major decision win. Filliaux’s win was the second for the UCBAC.
Mitchell gained an escape in the third, but Fischer ended the match with anther takedown and three more back points.
North Harford teammate, senior Austin Floyd, didn’t have too much luck either in the 220 final. Floyd was pinned in 2:58 by Hadyn Blanchard of Kent Island.
Patterson Mill senior Jordan Myers had en equally tough time with Dylan Finlay of Kent Island in the 145 final.
Finley took Myers down in the first period and then two the reversed each other twice.
Unfortunately for Myers, he scored just one more point over the final two periods, while Finlay took him down twice in the second period before scoring eight straight points on three sets of back points for the 19-5 major decision.
Other champions were Pete Lemmons of Queen Anne’s at 106; Maximus Bentley of Easton at 113; Ryan Bauer of North Caroline at 120; Eric Smith of Queen Anne’s at 126; Mizell Cooper of North Dorchester at 152; Tyler Bauer of North Caroline at 160; Jordan Gabriel of Colonel Richardson at 195; and Jose Vazquez of Parkside at 285.
Additionally, six others found a spot in the top four of respective weight classes to qualify for next weekend’s Maryland State Wrestling Tournament.
They were Patterson Mill’s Ethan Harvey, third at 126; and Kevin Le, fourth at 160; Fallston’s Josh Ford, third at 132; and Mike Lally, fourth at 220; Harford Tech’s Jared Pomfrey, third at 152; and Havre de Grace’s Jesse Fenner, fourth at 285.
