Havre de Grace senior running back Brandon Rabbit ran for four touchdowns and junior quarterback Devin Coates threw for two and ran for another to lead the Warriors past visiting North Harford, 46-11, in a non-division clash among UCBAC schools. In other non-division action, additional winners were Bel Air, Harford Tech. Edgewood and C. Milton Wright. Joppatowne was also a winner in non-league play.
In 2004, Giles Smith set the Maryland state 11-12 boys 50 yard fly record since a time of 25.39. That record stood until Arena Club Aquatics swimmer Alex Dillon broke the record with a time of 25.29 at the 29th annual Columbus Day Classic held recently at UMBC.
There were two Harford winners despite warm conditions at the Bull Run Invitational. In the Medium Schools Division, C.M. Wright’s Haley Cummins won the girls’ race, and Harford Tech’s Kevin Baranoski, the boys’.
Fallston’s William Creery shot a two-over round of 74 to win the boys title, while Patterson Mill’s Paula Moon scored a 78 to capture the girls’ crown at the UCBAC District VII regional finals at Mountain Branch Golf Club on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
