The sun was shining brightly and temperatures are hovered around the 10-degree mark Friday morning, as Harford County kept digging out from a snowstorm that brought from 7 to 10 inches of new snow to the area Thursday.

Harford County Public Schools are closed for the second day in row and the third time this week. All evening school activities are also canceled.

After working to clear the roads late into the night, the county had snow plows out working at numerous locations Friday morning.

"Crews worked until midnight Thursday completing 100 percent of their snow routes with one pass in and one pass out," county goverment spokesperson Cindy Mumby posted on the Harford County government Facebook page. "Started up again at 4 a.m. Friday for clean up. They are now pushing snow curb to curb, opening storm drains and treating roads with salt for your safety."

Mumby said by phone about 9:30 p.m. that the plows will be working most of the day.
