Shad Roe finds perfection again in week eight

I called it. After a week in which I went just above the .500 mark, the Gridiron Guru got back threw a pack of perfect picks at you, calling all six of last week's games correctly. To be fair, most of those games were slight mismatches, but I'm not going to let that spoil my good mood. As we head into the penultimate week of regular-season football, here's what we've got coming as us:

Perryville at Aberdeen. It looks like the wheels are starting to come off for the Perryville boys, as the Panthers dropped their third straight game last week. Will they be able to correct things in mid-fall against a strong Aberdeen squad, on the Eagles' brand new turf field, in front of a homecoming crowd? I would bet against it. The pick: Aberdeen wins, 35-14.

Havre de Grace at Patterson Mill. This is a tricky matchup. The Warriors upset Perryville, which managed to beat the Huskies a few weeks back, and both teams are coming off losses to rival teams in week eight. I'm going with the home-team Huskies in this one. The pick: Patterson Mill wins, 28-20.

North Harford at Fallston. This matchup turned out pretty darn exciting last year, with North Harford stopping a two-point conversion attempt in the final seconds to take a one-point win. The pick: North Harford wins, 38-35.

Edgewood at Joppatowne. The pick: Edgewood wins, 27-14.

Bel Air at C. Milton Wright. The pick: Bel Air wins, 30-24.

Harford Tech at Elkton. The pick: Elkton wins, 28-21.

Last week's record: 6-0
