The Patterson Mill wrestling team used a combination of pins and forfeits Wednesday evening to put away visiting Rising Sun, 60-15, in dual meet action.
Collecting the pins were Micheal Maas, 106 pounds; Colin McDonald, 126; Brent Iwanowski, 132; Gavin Adams, 145; Ven Widder, 170; Will Stamathis, 182; and Joe King, 220.
The forfeit winners were Paul Difonzo, 120; Jake Nikkila, 138; and Jamee Meagher, 285.
Mariners beat Warriors
Joppatowne won its first meet, edging visiting Havre de Grace, 36-32, Wednesday.
Diedrick Smith gave the Mariners a 6-0 lead by forfeit at 106, but Havre de Grace tied the meet on Alex Lloyd's fall at 113. Trevon Marglin pinned for Joppatowne at 120, but forfeited the next two bouts to put Havre de Grace ahead, 18-12.
Ryan Brown's pin at 138 pulled the Mariners back even, with Havre de Grace sneaking back in front on Josh Neary's 10-6 decision over Francis Ibeat 145.
Ryan Beeghley put Joppatowne back on top, 24-21, at 152 by pin. Jacob Sweigart answered with an 16-1tech fall at 160 for Havre de Grace, which led, 26-24.
At 182, Josh Hick added a pin for Joppatowne, which went back ahead, 30-26. Havre de Grace, however, went back on top on a forfeit to Dwayne Dixon at 195, but Joppatowne also got a forfeit at 220 for Fadehah Kolawok that sealed the win.
The meet had double forfeits at 170 and 285.
Rams fall at home
Edgewood was limited to five wins and lost to visiting Elkton, 45-28, Wednesday.
The Rams posted four pins.
Ariq Nixon won a 12-2 major decision at 138.
Indians beat Mustangs
C. Milton Wright traveled to North East and lost, 43-24.
Among the Mustangs five wins, were first period pins by Philip Venanzi at 152 and freshman Wyatt Graham at 182.
