Busy day on Harford mats provides many winners

Wednesday was a busy day on the mats for county wrestlers, with dual meets littering the schedule.

In the lone tri-meet of the day, John Carroll had no trouble with visiting St. Paul's, 54-18, and Gilman, 53-19.

The Patriots were led by several double winners, including Zach Dwyer, 132; Steve Jernigan, 145; Andy Milner, 152; Austin Ross, 160; Christian Almony, 170; Hunter Ritter, 195; Adam Berg, 220; and Christian Scott, 285.

Huskies beat Eagles

Patterson Mill turned back visiting Aberdeen, 39-30.

The winners for Patterson Mill were Mike Maas, 106; Michael DeFazio, 113; Colin McDonald, 120; Brent Iwanowski, 132; Jake Nikkila, 138; Ven Widder, 170; and Will Stamathis, 182.

Aberdeen winners were Dylan Morris, 126; Jordan Stewart, 145; Chris Madera, 152; Dylan Lucas, 160; C.J. Allen, 195; Rocko Hillhouse, 220; and Ricky Denu, 285.

Mustangs beat Warriors

C. Milton Wright defeated visiting Havre de Grace, 33-26.

Havre de Grace picked up wins from Alex Lloyd, 113; Jesse Hudler, 120; Shane Andrews, 126; John Neary, 138; Jacob Sweigart, 160; and Dwayne Dixon, 170.

Rams beat Mariners

Edgewood earned a win over host Joppatowne, 42-16.

Winning for the Rams were Ariq Nixon, 138; Zach McEwen, 145; Andru Nixon, 160; Nolan Moore, 170; Timothy Blackman, 182; David Coates, 195; and Chase McCannon, 285.

Winners for Joppatowne were Diedrick Smith, 113; Trevon Marglin, 120; Francis Ibe, 152; and Fadehan Kolewale, 220.

Indians top Hawks

North Harford traveled to North East and lost, 47-30. The Hawks beat North East a week earlier, 45-33.

In the loss, five Hawks posted wins. They were Will Sadowski, 132; Trevor Smith, 152; Angelo Koulatsos, 170; Greg Fiackos, 182; and Matt Johnson, 220.

Other score

Bel Air visited Rising Sun and won, 68-9. No details were provided.
