All staff were told to report for regular hours Monday.

The nature of the mechanical problem was not disclosed.

According to HCPS, approximately 950 students are enrolled at the two-building school. The Wakefield Building, opened in 1958, is the older of the two buildings on the campus.

HCPS also said the Alternative Education Program at the Center for Educational Opportunity in Aberdeen is closed Monday, also because of mechanical issues. Staff were told to report on time, however.
