The annual Christmas Giving Program has been in full swing at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bel Air.

The congregation puts together presents for approximately 340 families in Harford County, according to deacon Jim DeCapite.

The gifts and the makings for a complete Christmas dinner are either delivered to homes, picked up at our Church Sunday or parishioners adopt a family and purchase and deliver everything to the family, he said.

"Our entire parish participates in this program with the purchase of gifts, gift cards, wrapping presents, sorting by family and delivering," DeCapite said. They had some 300 people involved getting gifts ready on a recent weekend.

Janet Gentry and her daughter Anita Kimball head this program for St. Margaret and are instrumental in helping those in need in Harford County, DeCapite said.
