In honor of Hunger Action Month, emergency first responders in Harford, Cecil and Baltimore counties will do their part in the fight against hunger by hosting the 2016 Safety Fair at the Maryland State Police JFK Barrack in Perryville Saturday.
The event is part of a statewide partnership between the Maryland State Police, the Maryland Department of Transportation and the Maryland Food Bank to collect nonperishable food donations for Marylanders in need throughout September.
The event is open to the public and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Activities will include police dog demonstrations, a DUI simulator, face painting, a bicycle course, 25-foot inflatable slide, photo booth, Skee ball and many others fun things to do.
The JFK Barrack is at 15 Turnpike Drive, off Route 222 and the I-95 interchange.
Parking and shuttle service will be available from the northbound I-95 commercial vehicle weigh station. From the I-95 north Exit 93, go left on Route 222 and then right on G. Dawson Drive at the Perryville Fire House. Look for signs.
