Repeat winners highlight annual Pirate race in HdG

Alex Loper raced to his third victory, and Courtney von Lange, her second in the annual Pirate 5K in Havre de Grace Saturday.

Loper led 273 runners across the finish line in 17:09, four seconds faster than his winning time in 2011 and 2013. Von Lange led the women's race in 21:04, not as fast as her time in winning last year, as hot, humid conditions slowed most of the runners.
