Del. Teresa Reilly appointed to caucus leadership

Del. Teresa Reilly (District 35B, Cecil and Harford counties) has been appointed by House Republican leaders Nic Kipke and Kathy Szeliga as a deputy minority whip for the 2015 General Assembly session.

"Delegate Reilly brings energy and commitment to promote lower taxes, smaller government and the protection of Maryland families," House Minority Leader Kipke said. "She brings new ideas and a fresh perspective and will be a tremendous asset to our leadership team."

"It is an honor and a privilege to have been elected by, and to serve the citizens of Cecil and Harford counties as their delegate. To now be selected for this leadership role is humbling," Reilly said, adding it is unusual for a freshman legislator to assume such a responsibility.

"I would like to thank Delegates Kipke and Szeliga for appointing me as a deputy minority whip; their leadership and continued commitment to the citizens of Maryland is inspiring. They were instrumental in bringing more Republican representation in the House of Delegates. Being a deputy minority whip is a great opportunity to work closely with my colleagues and Governor Hogan to move Maryland forward to real change."
