How's your fantasy team? Mine is struggling

So, let me ask you this: how's your fantasy football team doing this year, through seven weeks? I hope better than mine.

If you had the same luck I had, then you're probably in the same boat I am. Did you have Adrian Peterson?

You know I did and yes, I got him with my first pick somewhere in the bottom of that first round. Oh, what we didn't know that late day in August.

Anyway, as one might expect, I've had to make a few adjustments, but not all of them have worked in my favor.

Standing seventh, I have some work to do to get back in the battle. Just 47 points out of third place, so it's possible. No guarantees, though.

I know it's been a week, but have all the Orioles fans just given up on the game of baseball after last week's Kanas City sweep?

Look, not any person I know personally or anyone else in the national spotlight called the Royals a winner in a four-game sweep. I said I wasn't making a prediction on paper, but I did say to a few people that I was taking the Royals in six. Surprisingly, my baseball hero, George Brett, had the same pick. Not surprisingly, we were both wrong, but I'm sure neither of us are too bothered by it.

So, it's been a week since and depending when you read this, the World Series could be a game or even two old, or it may have not started.

Like the ALCS, I will not make any prediction. I'm just hoping for a good competitive series and yes, I hope the Royals win.

I think we all know, too, what the best remedy was for Baltimore fans after such a devastating defeat: two Baltimore Ravens dominant victories.

After the Orioles were shocked with two home losses, Baltimore's football team completely destroyed Tampa Bay. It was actually pretty sad to watch as a football fan.

The Ravens follow that up with another solid performance over the Atlanta Falcons. I wasn't as shocked in this one as Atlanta just doesn't play well on the road and they have issues on the offensive line. Not a good combination playing in Baltimore against an aggressive Ravens defense. Did I say earlier that Matt Ryan is my fantasy quarterback?

I have to offer my congratulations to the Bel Air golf team, which won the Harford County Golf Tournament championship last week at Geneva Farm Golf Course.

The Bobcats have been unbeatable on the course for the past three years. Undefeated seasons, Bulle Rock division titles, county titles and district titles have all been part of this remarkable run.

A number of Bobcats and other county golfers will be headed to College Park next week for the Maryland State Golf Tournament. This is a tough tourney with a lot of quality players. Best of luck to all county golfers who are making the trip.
