A man was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after being found walking with "significant head injuries" near the Hatem Bridge in Havre de Grace early Thursday, Maryland Transportation Authority police reported.
Police are still investigating how the man was injured and why he was walking at the foot of the Hatem Bridge at about 3:45 a.m., MDTA spokesperson 1st Sgt. Jonathan Green said.
There was no immediate indication that a car accident had occurred or that the victim had been struck by a vehicle, Green said.
The man, identified only as an adult male, was taken to Shock Trauma by Medevac, he said. The investigation is continuing.
