The NEMS 2016 (North East Maryland Select) girls lacrosse team played two tournaments the first weekend in June and went undefeated in the pair, 8-0. NEMS 2016 won the Summer Showcase, which was played at Cedar Lane Park in Bel Air, June 1, and the Independent Play Day, played in College Park on June 2. The roster includes Skye Graham, Sydney Matthews, Maria Auth, Emily Blair, Julianna Butta, Emma Cassilly, Alice Cumpston, Parker Day, Katie Donhauser, Ashley Hedrick, Lauren Herrington, Claire Macatee, Karlie Maguire, Emily McQuay, Anya McSorley, Rebekah Riley, Lauren Ryan, Anna Wehland and Emily Wilhelm. The team is coached by Meagan Linkous, head coach; Paul Day, parent coach; Julia Heaps and Katie Wettig, college coaches; and Kelsey Evans, goalie coach.
