Police in Harford County are looking for a man who they say tried to hold up an Edgewood convenience store late Tuesday night.
At 11:45 p.m., Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Mystic Mart convenience store in the 1700 block of Hanson Road for a report of an attempted armed robbery.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke an employee who advised a black male had entered the business, produced a dark colored handgun, and announced a robbery, according to a Sheriff's Office news release. The suspect fled the business after the employee activated the hold-up alarm. Nothing was taken.
Deputies canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a short black male, who was wearing a black mask, black baseball cap, blue hooded sweat shirt and white gloves. The robber fled toward Meadowood Drive.
