Apartment fire displaces six in Bel Air Thursday night

A fire in an apartment unit in Bel Air Thursday night displaced six people and caused an estimated $50,000 in damage, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Reported at 7:16 p.m. in the Moores Mill Manor Apartments in the 400 block of Moores Mill Road, the fire was brought under control in approximately 10 minutes, the Fire and EMS Association reported on its media Facebook page.

The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company was first on the scene.

Two adults and four children were displaced, according to the Association. No injuries were reported.

A preliminary investigation indicates the cause of the fire was electrical in nature, association spokesperson Rich Gardiner said Friday morning.
