Missing Aberdeen family found in tent off Route 22

The missing family Aberdeen Police Department had been looking for Tuesday evening was found later that night.

At about 4 p.m. Tuesday, a concerned family member reported Laura Beth Marie Malkmus, 32, Thomas Edward Brown Jr, 30, Thomas Edward Brown III, 10, and Ethan Brown, 8, missing, according to a news release from Aberdeen Police Department.

All family members were found around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Sgt. Will Reiber said in an updated release sent Wednesday morning.

Chief Henry Trabert said Wednesday they were found in a tent in a wooded area off Route 22.

Police said the family is transient and has no fixed address, and it was possible they had split up and is residing in different locations in or around Aberdeen.



Harford County’s “Choose Civility” campaign kicked off with a breakfast event at the Water’s Edge Events Center in Belcamp on Wednesday.
