'House of Cards' films at Edgewood apartment complex Thursday

The "House of Cards" film crew was on the move in Harford County once again Thursday morning, setting up shop inside an Edgewood apartment complex.

Crew members were hard at work on the premises of Edgewood Park Apartments, on Edgewood Road near Willoughby Beach Road, before noon Thursday.

They were preparing to roll cameras Thursday afternoon and warned that pictures or video would not be allowed during filming.

Orange cones and various pieces of equipment were all around the apartment complex.

Some equipment stood inside the stairwells of most of the buildings.

The role Edgewood Park Apartments will play in the political drama was, of course, a closely-guarded secret, as have been other local location shots for the second season of the Netflix original television series that stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.

The crew filmed around Williams Street and the Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air last week. Production of the show is based in southern Harford County, where a Joppa industrial building is being used as a sound stage for some of the interior shots.
