Havre de Grace Police said late Monday morning that the missing 1-year-old girl, who they said they believed was allegedly kidnapped Sunday by her mother’s boyfriend, was found unharmed.
Addileah Hawley was found safe in the custody of John Hawley, for whom a warrant was issued Sunday alleging he had kidnapped the girl, Havre de Grace Police said.
Before Monday’s arrest, Hawley and Addileah were last seen Sunday in the 1100 block of Revolution Street in Havre de Grace, prompting Havre de Grace Police to ask for the public’s help finding the girl. At the time of the alert, police said Addileah was wearing a blue coat, blue pajamas with cupcake print and pink socks.
Police said the two were believed to be traveling in a white 2008 Nissan Maxima four-door with black wheels, damage to the right front bumper and Maryland license plates: 4BZ4731. Police said Hawley was known to frequent the Dundalk area of Baltimore County or West Virginia.
John Hawley has been charged with one count of kidnapping, according to online court records. He was arrested and taken to Harford County Detention Center and was released Tuesday on $15,000 bond, according to court records.
