Insurance company donates $10K to Havre de Grace Colored School group

Harford Mutual Insurance Company has donated $10,000 to the Havre de Grace Colored School Foundation for purchase and renovations of the historic property at Alliance and Stokes streets in Havre de Grace.

Harford Mutual president Steve Linkous and Frank Kellner, vice president of claims, joined members of the Havre de Grace Colored School Foundation for the check presentation at the school on Sept. 6.

The money will be used to assist with finalizing the purchase and renovations to the building, according to the foundation.

Foundation Chairwoman Patricia Cole presented the Harford Mutual representatives with lapel pins and a booklet depicting the many events and activities throughout the schools existence.

Attending the presentation were foundation members Larry Spriggs, Sheryl Coleman, Steve Gamatori, Carol Bruce, Brenda Snell, Phillip Hunter, Patricia Cole and Janice Grant.
