A Havre de Grace detective is working to identify the body and determine if it is Catherine Mace, a 43-year-old Havre de Grace woman who has been missing since Dec. 26, 2014.

The NRP reported "a body that had washed ashore near the entrance to the Elk River," Gilpin said shortly before 3 p.m. Monday. "One of our detectives went out to the location to see if this is in relation to a missing persons report taken by our agency."
