From the office of Harford County Executive Barry Glassman:
Harford County government has launched a new mobile application delivering the power of its popular website to users smartphones and other mobile devices.
The free “HarCo Mobile” app offers resources for living well in Harford County, with instant connections to county services, news and open data; parks & rec programs; bus schedules; the county’s permit center; public meeting calendars, and more.
The app also has quick links to online tools including Harford County’s snowplow tracker, the “You CLICK We FIX” customer service app, and “Track-it,” the county’s award-winning planning and zoning activity tracker.
Following a redesign by the Glassman administration in November 2015, Harford County government’s website www.harfordcountymd.gov attracts more than 1.5 million unique page views per year.
Nearly half of the county website’s traffic comes from mobile devices, reflecting a global trend. According to StatCounter.com, more users worldwide access the web from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets than from traditional desktops or notebooks.
“My administration is making local government more like your smartphone – smaller, faster, and with better service,” County Executive Barry Glassman said. “The HarCo Mobile app is Harford County’s next step forward by delivering county resources in the palm of your hand.”
