A 21-year-old Abingdon man was in critical condition Thursday at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, nearly one day after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on a Fallston road.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday as Huebel was riding west along Guyton Road. He lost control of the motorcycle while going around a curve, left the road, hit a fence and was thrown off, according to Kyle Andersen, spokesperson for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded at 7:03 p.m. to the 2900 block of Guyton, where they found the injured Huebel.

"At this time, speed is believed to be a contributing factor of the crash," Andersen wrote in an email.

Hubel was airlifted to Shock Trauma. There were no other vehicles involved and no additional injuries were reported, according to Andersen.
