Patterson Mill's shot at winning the UCBAC's Susquehanna Division in girls volleyball took a hit Monday night in Perryville.
The Huskies (8-3) won the second set, 25-22, but dropped sets 1, 3 and 4 by scores of 20-25, 18-25 and 19-25, respectively.
Patterson Mill's match leaders were Kenna Garman, 14 kills, five aces, 11 digs; Sarah Alders, seven kills, three digs, four blocks for point; Kyrsten Leland, six kills, two digs, five blocks for point; Hannah Roussey, one kill, 12 assists; and Morgan Allen, 10 digs.
Perryville's leaders were Teri Wennersten, 12 service points, eight kills, four blocks; Kylie Shiflett, 11 kills, 20 digs; Gabby Goodnow, 12 kills, three blocks; Rose Porch, 18 assists, eight digs; and Kaylan Smith, 21 digs.
Rams beat Eagles
Edgewood (6-5) beat visiting Bo Manor (8-3) Monday in four sets in Susquehanna action.
Bo Manor won the opening set, 25-14, while Edgewood won the next three, 25-23, 25-16 and 25-21.
Leaders for Edgewood were Frances Calzada, 11 kills, eight digs, three aces; Tamiya Dean six kills, three blocks, two aces; Adriana Calzada, 14 digs; and Bianca Tucker, 20 assists.
Cougars beat Cobras
The Fallston Cougars (7-3) needed five sets to take down host Harford Tech (2-7). Scores were 25-10, 24-26, 20-25, 25-16 and 15-7.
The Cougars were led by Brittany Callahan's six kills, while Rachel Hart added four kills and nine blocks. Temi Afolabi contributed four aces and Ivey Wagner led with 17 digs.
Tech's leaders were Karizma Hockaday, nine kills, one block; Jenna Hathazi, eight assists, four kills, one block; and Alicia Yeager, one ace, three kills.
Eagles sweep Warriors
Aberdeen (6-5) swept visiting Havre de Grace, 3-0, in Susquehanna play. Scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 25-18.
Leading the Warriors in the loss were Elisa Rivera, eight service points, four kills, two assists; Lucy Brooks, four kills; Samara White, four service points, five kills; and Emilee Bubb, five kills.
Other Monday scores
In Susquehanna play, Joppatowne (0-11) lost at North East (4-7), 3-0, while in Chesapeake action, C. Milton Wright (1-8) lost, 3-0, to visiting Rising Sun (9-0).
Warriors lose on road
In the lone girls volleyball match to be contested Thursday, Havre de Grace visited Bo Manor and lost, 3-0, in UCBAC Susquehanna Division play.
The scores were 20-25, 14-25 and 14-25.
