The Edgewood girls volleyball team picked up a big UCBAC Susquehanna Division win Wednesday evening, taking down host Patterson Mill in four games. The Rams (4-4 league, 4-5 overall) dropped the first game, 16-25, but won the next three by scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-19.
The result, paired with other Wednesday results, creates a logjam atop the division. Patterson Mill, Bo Manor and Perryville are all 6-2. The Huskies are 6-3 overall.
Leading Edgewood to victory were Frances Calzada, six kills, nine aces, 11 digs, one block; Tamiya Dean, four kills, two blocks; Julia Gatch, five kills, 10 digs; Adriana Calzada, 17 digs and Shannon Bowman, 10 assists.
Kyrsten Leland led Patterson Mill with 10 kills, one ace, one dig and three blocks for point.
Perryville (7-2) earned its division win at home, sweeping Havre de Grace (2-6, 3-6), 3-0. Scores were 25-19, 25-14 and 25-9.
Leaders for Perryville were Rebekah Hanshaw, 17 service points, five kills, seven digs; Gabby Goodnow, five kills, four blocks; Kylie Shiflett, seven service points, seven kills; and Teri Wennersten, 14 service points, six kills and three blocks.
Havre de Grace had no stats to report, according to coach Alaina Schleich.
Cougars beat Hawks
The Fallston Cougars (5-2) defeated visiting North Harford (2-5) in four games of a Chesapeake match. Scores were 25-17, 25-23, 17-25 and 25-22.
