Bel Air, CMW, Fallston move on in girls soccer playoffs

Girls soccer teams from Bel Air, C. Milton Wright and Fallston were all winners Tuesday in regional playoff action.

Bel Air defeated visiting Patapsco, 7-0, in a Class 3A North-Section II semifinal. The Bobcats (11-1-2) led 3-0 at the half.

Jaimie Layfield scored a pair of goals, while single goals were scored by Juliana Portera, Kayla Klock, Shannon Williams, Carrianne Simmons and Mackenzie Wallace.

Klock dished out three assists with Carly Lambert, Elizabeth Hillman and Mackenzie Wills each adding one.

Bel Air goalies Andrea Sipos and Molly Loughlin made one save each.

Bel Air will host CMW on Friday, at approximately 5 p.m., following the boys game between the same two schools.

CMW (13-1-2) was a 1-0 winner over visiting Aberdeen (7-7). Stats were not provided.

Fallston (8-4-2) posted its win over visiting Harford Tech (8-7), 3-0, in 2A East-Section I semifinal play.

Taylor Dudley, Samantha DiCarlo and Alicyn Lose scored goals in the win, while assists were credited to Sydney Crofton, DiCarlo and Kassidy Webster.

Cougars goalie Katelyn Briguglio made three saves.

Fallston will play at Rising on Friday in the section final. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
