Bel Air shuts out CMW in girls soccer division showdown

The Bel Air girls soccer team grabbed sole possession of the UCBAC Chesapeake Division lead Monday night, beating visiting C. Milton Wright, 3-0.

Alexcia Kraemer scored both first half goals for the Bobcats, who improved to 5-0 in league play and 9-1-1 overall.

Gabi Hall tallied the Bobcats other goal. Gabriela Encarnacion dished out two assists, while Shannon Williams had one.

Bobcats goalie Andrea Sipos had three saves, while Mustangs keeper Stacy Venanzi had 13 saves. CMW is 5-1 in league and 11-2-1 overall.

Cougars nip Hawks

Fallston (4-1, 7-3-2) stayed alive in Chesapeake play, beating host North Harford (0-5-1, 4-5-1), in overtime, 1-0.

Samantha Dicarlo scored the winning goal, assisted by Sydney Crofton. Cougars goalie Katelyn Briguglio made one save.

Rams beat Huskies

Edgewood (3-3, 8-5) celebrated its seniors by beating visiting Patterson Mill, 2-1, in Chesapeake play.

The Rams led, 1-0, at the half on Paige Graff's goal. Graff also scored the other Edgewood goal. Alyssa Rankin and Alex Van Graafeiland had assists.

Edgewood keeper Ally Bomhardt had 15 saves, while Patterson Mill keepers combined for 13 saves.

Eagles edge Warriors

Aberdeen (5-1, 5-6) beat host Havre de Grace (2-4-1, 2-7-1), 3-2, Monday in Susquehanna play.

Erin Baier scored the first two Aberdeen goals, one in each half, while Kiera Young added a single goal.

Addie Richardson netted both Havre de Grace goals, one off a direct kick and the other with an assist from Rachel Rossi.

Warriors goalie Annelise Beer finished with 13 saves.

Cobras beat Eagles

In Friday's non-division game at Harford Tech, the Cobras beat Aberdeen, 3-1. The game was tied 1-1 at half.

Tech goals were scored by Najee Vick, Kersten O'Brien and Kara Hayward. Assists credited to Hayward, Tori Arcilesi and Vick.

Tech played three goalies with Emily Doleschal making one save, Hannah Warner making four and Sarah Bellamy making five.

Aberdeen's goal was scored by Tiara Baldauf. Goalie Katie Sanderson had eight saves.

Rams beat Panthers

Girls soccer play was light Thursday and in the only game played, Edgewood beat visiting Perryville, 7-1, in non-division play.

The Rams (7-5) led 5-0 at the half.

Alex Van Graafeiland scored twice for the Rams, while Angela Wood, Jalisa Bass, Melanie Parncutt, Alyssa Rankin and Caitlin Rankin tallied single goals.

Van Graafeiland also had two assists and single assists were credited to Alyssa Rankin, Parncutt and Caitlin Rankin.

Perryville's (2-8) goal was scored by Taylor Dipietro.
