Bel Air, CMW keep winning in girls soccer

Bel Air and C. Milton Wright each continued unbeaten in UCBAC Chesapeake Division girls soccer play Wednesday. Bel Air (4-0 league, 8-1-1) defeated host Patterson Mill, 3-0, while CMW (5-0, 11-0-1) edged host North Harford, 3-2.

In Bel Air's win, Goals Kayla Klock scored a pair of goals and Renie Tsomos scored one. Alexcia Kraemer and Jaimie Layfield had assists.

Bobcats goalie Andrea Sipos finished with three saves and Huskies (1-3, 4-4-2) goalie Andi Whiteford had 16 saves.

Bel Air led 1-0 at the half.

Stats were not available for the CMW - North Harford (0-5, 4-5) game.

Rams edge Cobras

Edgewood (2-3, 6-5) nipped host Tech (1-5, 6-5), 2-1, in Chesapeake play. All goals were scored in the first half.

Caitlin Rankin and Melanie Parncutt scored a goal each for the Rams, while Riley Kimmel netted Tech's goal, assisted by Michaela Postowski on an corner kick.

Rankin also had an assist.

Rams goalie Ally Bomhardt finished with 11 saves, while Tech keeper Sarah Bellamy had seven saves.

Tigers shell Warriors

Havre de Grace (2-3-1, 2-6-1) took a lopsided loss at Rising Sun on Wednesday, falling, 10-0. The score at half was 1-0.

Havre de Grace goalie Annelise Beer made 16 saves, eight in each half.

Other scores

In two other league games played Wednesday, Aberdeen (4-1, 4-5) won at Elkton, 6-3, in Susquehanna action, and Joppatowne (0-5-1, 0-8-1) was beaten by visiting North East, 7-0, also in Susquehanna play.
