Non-league contests were the focus for a few girls lacrosse teams Monday, when Fallston, Havre de Grace, Patterson Mill and Harford Tech all posted wins.
At Fallston, the Cougars (5-2) edged John Carroll, 8-7. The Cougars led 6-3 at the half.
Kayla Reilly (two assists) led the Cougars with three goals, while Caroline English (three assists) and Maddie Hurlburt scored two goals each. Katie Donhauser added the other Fallston goal. Megan Shock and Logan Gasior added one assist each.
Kara Klages was the lone Patriot to score multiple goals, with two. Klages also had two assists.
In the goal, Erika Wright made 11 saves for Fallston and Katie Sharretts had five for John Carroll.
Harford Tech (5-1) was also a winner Monday, beating visiting Rising Sun, 19-5.
Becca Williams lit up the scoreboard with seven goals and four assists. Courtney Poole added four goals and one assist, while Tori Arcilesi (two assists) and Amanda Weir tallied three goals apiece. Sam Volz added two goals and two assists.
Tech keeper Bryana Wyatt made eight saves.
Harford Tech and C. Milton Wright won in girls lacrosse Friday. Patterson Mill wasn't so fortunate.
Becca Williams lit up the nets for six goals to lead the Cobras scoring, while Courtney Poole, Sam Volz and Rachel Raspe netted three goals each. Tori Arcilesi added two goals. Single goals came from Bethany Bishop and Amanda Weir.
Arcilesi had three assists. Single assists were credited to Poole, Maddie Riley, Volz, Williams, Lexi Chavis and Bishop.
Tech goalie Bryana Wyatt made three saves.
Mustangs win big
CMW won big over visiting Perry Hall, 18-3. The Mustangs led, 12-1, at the half.
Lauren Cavanaugh led the Mustangs with four goals. Haley Matthai and Katie Burgee had three goals apiece. Maggie Gallagher, Lauren Haggerty and Haley Alexander each had two goals. Julia O'Mara and Mackenzie Aponte had single goals.
Alexander had four assists and Aponte had two. Haggerty and Cavanaugh each had an assist.
CMW played two sophomore goalies with Katelyn Miller making two saves and Skye Graham making three.
"A real team effort today. We dedicated ourselves to winning the 50/50 balls and denied possession as much as possible. I'm proud of the girls for putting into action what we have been working on in practice," CMW head coach Brent Ritz said.
Huskies fall at Dulaney
Patterson Mill lost at Dulaney, 19-4. The Huskies trailed, 14-3, at halftime.
Sam Herman scored twice and Gabby Vujanic had a goal and assist. Mariel Castronova added the other goal and Sarah Alders had one assist.
Patterson Mill goalie Abby Smith had 14 saves.
Hawks beat Mavericks
North Harford also won Friday, beating host Eastern Tech, 20-7.
Maria Auth and Sophie Crowther scored three goals apiece to lead 10 North Harford scorers.
Megan O'Donnell, Nicole Latgis and Bailey Saneman added two goals and two assists each, while Jen Doering and Katie Clark both added two goals and one assist.
Ashley Hedrick also scored twice. Caitlin King and Sarah Schnieder had single goals.
Eastern Tech was led by Jill Henry's four goals.
Girls lacrosse teams from Havre de Grace and Edgewood collected UCBAC victories Thursday, while Bel Air dropped a non-league game on the road.
Havre de Grace's win came over visiting Joppatowne, 15-1, in a non-divisional game.
Taylor Johnson led the Warriors scoring with four goals, while Carly Thompson and Martine Ianniello each netted three goals. Freshman Rachel Wilson also had multiple goals with two.
Haley Dean supplied two assists, while Thompson and Wilson each had one.
Lauren Herrington led the Warriors with four draw controls, four ground balls and six caused turnovers.
Havre de Grace goalie Lauren Butler made one save.
Rams beat Panthers
Edgewood picked up its win at Perryville in Susquehanna (lower) Division play. The Rams defeated the Panthers, 15-7.
Alyssa Rankin scored seven goals and assisted on another to pace the Rams. Caitlin Rankin (two assists) and Ladae Boykin had two goals apiece.
Sydnie Bjork scored six goals to lead Perryville.
Edgewood goalie Savannah Kerr made four saves and Perryville keeper Adrienne Weiman had seven saves.
Bobcats lose on road
Bel Air's loss came at Towson, where the Generals beat the Bobcats, 10-6.
Cassidy Jones led the Bobcats with three goals, while single goals were scored by Shannon Williams, Morgan Hollenback and Emily McQuay. Anna Farley added one assist.
