Several Harford County girls basketball teams finally found their way back onto the court Wednesday for the quarterfinal round of their respective region playoffs.
At least two of Wednesday's winners will see each other in the next round, with some of those games tentatively slated for Thursday, depending on the weather.
In Class 2A East, Harford Tech scored 10 points in the final quarter, eight from the free throw line, to edge visiting Fallston (six fourth quarter points), 41-38, in Class 2A East play.
Tech (16-4) trailed 32-31 after three quarters, but Brianna McAllister's (17 points) basket with :27 left pushed the Cobras back ahead, 39-38. Jonna Maddox (14 points) added a pair of free throws with :12.3 left to end the scoring.
Fallston (8-14) had the ball in the final seconds, but failed to get off a potential game-tying shot.
Fallston's Logan Gasior led all scorers with 21 points.
Huskies beat Tigers
Patterson Mill (17-5) had no trouble at Rising Sun in 2A East. The Huskies won big, 70-21.
Qalea Ismail's 18 points led three Huskies in double figures. Megan Barnett and Chyna Latimer added 10 each.
Patterson Mill will play at Tech in the next round.
Eagles beat Bobcats
Aberdeen (17-2) moved on in 3A North, dropping visiting Bel Air (7-14), 70-49. Stats were not available.
The Eagles were expecting to see C. Milton Wright in the next round, but the Mustangs (18-6) were upset by visiting Edgewood, 35-33. The Rams improved to 5-12. Stats were not provided.
Warriors win
Havre de Grace (12-10) beat visiting Colonel Richardson, 62-49, in Class 1A East.
Taylor Smith led the winners with 24 points. Samara White added 16 and Addie Richardson netted 15.
Havre de Grace will play at Bo Manor in the next round.
