Patterson Mill celebrates seniors, beats Edgewood in girls basketball

Patterson Mill celebrated its seniors and its 10th straight UCBAC Chesapeake Division girls basketball win Friday, rolling over visiting Edgewood, 48-15.

The Huskies (15-4) seniors are Qalea Ismail, Sam Barnett and Sam Herman. Ismail led all scorers with 16 points and Barnett had eight. Sam Herman missed another game with a shoulder injury.

The Huskies are scheduled to host Aberdeen on Tuesday in a key division game. Game time is 6:45 p.m.

Cobras beat Mariners

Harford Tech(11-1, 13-4) stayed alive in the Susquehanna race, winning at Joppatowne (4-9, 4-15), 57-39, Thursday. The Cobras led 37-23 at half.

Breyana McWhiteled the Cobras with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Jonna Maddoxnetted 13 points. Tianna Cunningham had the double-double of 11 points, 10 rebounds and Brianna McAllisterfinished with eight points and 12 rebounds.

Tech will host Rising Sun (13-0) Thursday in a game to determine a champion.

Aberdeen (8-1, 14-2) stayed a game behind Patterson Mill (9-0) in Chesapeake play, beating visiting Bel Air (4-6, 6-12), 60-34.

Havre de Grace (6-6, 9-9) lost at Rising Sun, 42-36, in Susquehanna action and in Chesapeake play, C. Milton Wright (6-3, 16-3) won at Fallston (0-9, 7-11), 44-35.
