Harford Christian field hockey teams is 11-1 after 9-0 Monday win

The Harford Christian field hockey team improved to 11-1 Monday, beating visiting Oldfields, 9-0.

The Eagles were playing their "pink" game to support breast cancer research in honor of assistant principal, Patti Parkes, wife of the late Harley Parkes. "We were able to raise donations per goal scored by either team to go to the breast cancer research foundation of her choice...so it was a successful day," Eagles coach Cheri Lefever said.

Lily Loomis poured in five goals to lead the Eagles and Taylor Dawson added three goals. Julia Smith added the other goal.

HCS goalie AudreyAnna Howell was credited with two saves.

Other Monday scores

In non-league play, Fallston (6-7-1) beat visiting Elkton, 2-0, while C. Milton Wright (4-5-3) lost, 1-0, at St. Mary's Ryken.

HCS wins two

Harford Christian picked up wins on consecutive days, beginning with a 4-0 win at St. Timothy's on Friday.

Lily Loomis scored a pair of goals, while Lissi Druyor and Lexi Tippett each added a goal.

HCS goalie AudreyAnna Howell had two saves.

The Eagles hosted Tome Saturday and won, 5-0.

Druyor scored twice, as did Julia Smith, who also had an assist. Loomis finished with a goal and two assists.

Howell had two saves.

Panthers shock Cougars

Perryville (1-4, 7-4) upset visiting Fallston (3-2, 5-7-2) Friday, 1-0, in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.

Kyleigh Knell scored the game's lone goal with an assist from Krissy McDuff. Panthers goalie Lacy Flores had eight saves.

Cobras, Eagles tie

Harford Tech (5-5-1) battled host Bo Manor to a 3-3 tie through overtime and strokes in Susquehanna play on Friday.

The game was tied at 2 at the end of regulation play.

Tech goals were scored by Olivia Keller (unassisted) and Courtney Hill, assisted by Brittany Mullen-Kapustensky.

In strokes, each team scored one penalty stroke. Keller scored Tech's stroke goal.

Tech goalie Jessi Clancy had eight saves.

Other scores

In other games Friday, C. Milton Wright (4-4-3) shut out visiting North East, 5-0, in non-division play. Havre de Grace (2-5, 2-10) lost, 8-0, at Rising Sun in Susquehanna play. Edgewood (4-3, 6-5) lost at Elkton, 3-0, in Susquehanna play. Aberdeen (3-4, 3-9) won 4-1 at Joppatowne (0-7, 0-9-1) on Friday in Susquehanna play and Patterson Mill (5-7-1) lost at Garrison Forest, 7-0, in non-league play.
