The new Fallston Tractor Supply Company store at Routes 1 and 152 has opened and will hold its grand opening celebration on Saturday, Nov. 5, with specially priced merchandise available now through Sunday.
The Fallston location is Tractor Supply's 22nd store in Maryland and employs 13 team members, according to a company news release. The store has 19,100 square feet, including sales floor and support service space, and is located in the Aumar Village Center. The address is 222 Mountain Road.
Tractor Supply bills itself as the largest rural lifestyle retail store chain in the United States and has been operating in Maryland since 1975.
"Fallston is a great location for Tractor Supply Company because there are a lot of families with riding stables and hobby farms in the area," Fallston store manager J.D. Kurzmann said in the news release. "Our knowledgeable, friendly team looks forward to providing our neighbors with Tractor Supply's legendary customer service."
Kurzmann, a Bel Air native, joined Tractor Supply this year as a manager in training at the company's Aberdeen location. He oversees all store operations at Fallston, including receiving, inventory control and merchandising, as well as customer and team member relations.
To celebrate the grand opening of the store, shoppers will receive 10 percent off their first purchase, up to $100, through Sunday, Nov. 6, and can enter to win prizes including store gift cards. Free Tractor Supply caps will also be given away while supplies last.
Saturday's grand opening event will feature a number of activities, including representatives from the local 4-H programs.
The store's regular operating hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Aumar Village, developed by Michael Euler Sr. of Fallston, is also home to Advance Auto Parts, CVS Pharmacy, McDonald's, Texas Roadhouse and APG Federal Credit Union. Earth, Wood and Fire restaurant is also coming to the center.
