Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at Route 165 and Charles Street in the Fallston area shortly before 9:00 Tuesday morning, according to the Maryland State Police.

No injuries were reported from a second Fallston area crash that occurred about 20 minutes earlier along Carrs Mill Road east of Fallston High school near the Winters Run bridge.

Icy road conditions may have been a factor in both accidents, according to first responders from the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company.

Troopers were alerted to the Route 165 crash at 8:51 a.m., Cpl. Monk, the duty officer at the MSP's Bel Air Barrack, said.

Monk said two adults were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore by ambulance and the third, a juvenile girl whose age Monk did know, was flown by helicopter to the pediatric emergency center at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

He said the child had "non-life-threatening injuries."

EMS workers from the Fallston Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Company, with support from the Jarrettsville and Bel Air Volunteer Fire Companies, also responded to the scene, Rich Gardiner, spokesperson for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association, reported on the Association's public information page on Facebook.

The Medevac picked up the juvenile patient on the parking lot at Grandview Christian Church, a few miles from the accident scene, where she was transported by ambulance.

Gardiner said the Carrs Mill road crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near the Winters Run bridge and there were no injuries, only property damage.

The crash blocked the two-lane road in both directions, forcing motorists to turn around and take alternate routes between Bel Air and Fallston until the road reopened.
