Man robbed at gunpoint Monday near Mystic Mart in Edgewood, police say

A 22-year-old Edgewood man was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon near a gas station convenience store in Edgewood that has been the scene of past armed robberies, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.

The man told police he was walking to Mystic Mart, at Meadowood Drive and Hanson Road, at about 1 p.m. when three males stepped out of the bushes and displayed a gun, according to a Sheriff's Office report of the incident.

One of the men began to go through the victim's pockets and stole his wallet, according to the report.

The suspects then fled on foot, according to the report.

The suspects are described as three black males, all wearing dark clothing. One was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighting around 160 pounds. The other two were described as tall and thin, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Responding deputies canvassed the area but found no suspects, the Sheriff's Office said.

Armed robberies also were reported at or near Mystic Mart in Aug. 2012 and July 2011, the Sheriff's Office said.
