A bicyclist was injured in a possible hit-and-run Saturday evening in Aberdeen, city police reported.
Aberdeen Police responded at 9:55 p.m. to Route 40 at Market Street for a report of a person hit by a van headed west on Route 40, according to Sgt. Will Reiber.
Daniel Heston, 44, who had been riding his bike, was lying injured in the road. He was alert and conscious when Aberdeen Fire Department medics transported him to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, according to statement from Reiber.
He was later released from the hospital, Reiber said Monday morning.
Reiber also said Monday the vehicle involved was found and the driver is cooperating with the investigation. He would not release any further details pending the completion of the investigation by the APD Traffic Unit.
