He is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center following a bail review hearing Wednesday, according to a news release from the State’s Attorney’s Office.

Investigators from the Harford Child Advocacy Center became involved after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Dewey, who was allegedly buying and/or selling items online that appeared to be exploiting children, according to the release.

Investigation of that tip led to a search and seizure warrant at Dewey’s residence, where investigators recovered personal electronics that contained large amounts of alleged child pornography and evidence of distribution of child pornography.

After the search, investigators interviewed Dewey, who admitted to possession of child pornography.

Anyone with additional information relating to Dewey or this investigation is encouraged to contact the CAC.
