Another casting call for 'popular political drama' set for Saturday in Bel Air

"I know that in the past, casting calls we have had in Bel Air have been extremely successful," Gerbes said. "The town of Bel Air has always been hospitable to casting calls."

The Netflix series "House of Cards" has held casting calls in Bel Air each of the past four years. "House of Cards," the political drama starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, has production studios in Joppa, where many indoor scenes are shot, and a number of the show's other scenes have been shot at locations all over Harford County.

The show was renewed for a fifth season last winter. Typically, much of the production takes place in the summer and fall months.

Previous casting calls for "House of Cards" have brought thousands of people to downtown Bel Air. The last casting call in Bel Air was in May 2015 and was organized by Marinella Hume Casting, which is listed on the Maryland Film Office website as the agency holding Saturday's call.

The casting agency is looking for adults ages 18 and older and is asking people to dress "camera ready" in their best outfits, with hair and makeup done, according to the website.
