Patterson Mill knocks off CMW in boys soccer, 5-1

The C. Milton Wright boys soccer team was a win away from at least a share of the UCBAC's Chesapeake Division title Tuesday when the Mustangs visited Patterson Mill.

The Huskies (3-3 league, 9-5) had other ideas, rolling over the Mustangs (4-1-1, 9-2-2), 5-1. Bel Air (4-0-1, 9-2-1) will look to wrap up the title Thursday, hosting North Harford.

In the win, Caleb Hebb scored two goals for the Huskies, while Jake Ross, Larson Green and Kyle McCollum each scored one. Assists were dished out by Will Pappas, Jake Ross, Chris Jones, Pat Kiley and Kyle Goudy.

Huskies senior keeper Kevin Neumann had eight saves.

Cobras beat Eagles

Harford Tech (2-5, 5-8) closed its Susquehanna schedule with a 4-1 win at Bo Manor. The Cobras led, 1-0, at the half.

Mark Maust scored three goals (24th, 65th, 79th minutes) to pace the Cobras, who also got a goal from Blake Melchior in the game's 74th minute.

Brian Triolo had two assists and Flavio Reyes had one.

Bo Manor's goal was scored by Jacob Smith, unassisted in the 56th minute.

Tech goalie Adam Bednarek made three saves, while Bo Manor keeper Gabe Shertz had 11 saves.

Hawks blank Warriors

North Harford (2-3, 5-7) shut out visiting Havre de Grace, 2-0, Tuesday in Chesapeake play. The loss ended the Warriors league season at 0-6 and 7-7 overall.

Tyler Grubb and Kyle Munson scored the North Harford goals, while Munson and Adam Dean added assists.

North Harford goalie Andrew Klapka finished with five saves.

Other scores

In Susquehanna action, Edgewood (4-3, 4-8) lost at Elkton, 3-0, while Joppatowne (3-4, 4-8) lost, 2-1, in overtime to visiting Perryville. In Chesapeake play, Fallston (4-2, 7-5) beat visiting Aberdeen (2-4, 5-6-2), 3-0.
