Tech picks up first UCBAC division boys soccer win

The Harford Tech boys soccer team earned its first UCBAC Susquehanna Division victory Thursday, knocking off visiting Joppatowne, 2-1. The game was tied 1-1 at half.

Mark Maust scored both Tech (1-5 league, 3-6) goals. The first in the 25th minute, assisted by Billy Bandy. The game-winner came in the 53rd minute, unassisted.

Bailey Sands scored the Mariners (3-3, 4-7) goal unassisted in the 39th minute.

Tech goalie Adam Bednarek made five saves, while Joppatowne keeper Austin Kocsan had 14 saves.

Other scores

Edgewood (4-2, 4-7) visited Perryville (3-3, 4-5-1) and won, 3-2, in Susquehanna play. Fallston (3-2, 6-5) also visited Havre de Grace (0-5, 7-6) and won 3-1, in Chesapeake play.
