There is a pattern forming here, one where the Harford Christian boys soccer team wins via shutout and Seth McCarty scores a load of goals in the victory.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Eagles posted their eighth straight whitewashing, beating host Tri-State Christian, 7-0, and five of Harford Christian's tallies belonged to McCarty, who now has 26 goals in nine regular-season games.
The victory moved the Eagles to 9-0 for the year.
McCarty scored the Eagles first four goals, two with helpers from Jordan Crank, one assisted by Tim Guertler, and one unassisted.
Jared Lanchak scored on a penalty kick in the first half to give the visitors a 5-0 lead, and before halftime Alex Caldwell scored with an assist from McCarty.
In the second half, McCarty netted the final goal of the contest, this one coming off an assist by Paul Franco.
Patterson Mill blanks Bel Air
The Patterson Mill boys squad (3-2 overall, 1-0 Chesapeake) knocked off host Bel Air (2-3 overall, 0-1 Chesapeake) on Tuesday night, 3-0.
Logan Hennlein, Jake Ross and Chris Jones all scored once for the Huskies, while Mike Dinatale and Larsen Green both had one assist in the victory.
Patterson Mill goalie Kevin Neumann had 12 saves in the shutout.
Tech beats North East
The Harford Tech Cobras (3-3 overall, 2-0 Susquehanna) came through with a 4-3 win over visiting North East on Tuesday.
The Cobras' Vinnie Iannucci scored twice to pace the winning side's offense, while Justin Morris and Steve Chapman both contributed one goal and one assist. Flavio Reyes and Nathan Haskell dished out one assist apiece for Harford Tech.
Cobra goalie Adam Bednarek had five saves.
Warriors edge Perryville
The Havre de Grace Warriors (5-0 overall, 1-0 Chesapeake) came out on top of a 1-0 score on Tuesday in a home matchup against the Perryville Panthers.
The game's only goal was scored in the 37th minute by Havre de Grace's Elliott Scott.
Perryville goalie Dustin Krahn made nine saves.
Aberdeen over Elkton
Aberdeen (1-3-1 overall, 1-0 Susquehanna) took a 4-1 road victory over Elkton in a Tuesday matchup.
Tyler Green, Joe Nichols, Oscar Fjellander and Flakiron Salihu all netted one goal for the winners, while Wyatt Jordan and Frank Rivers and one assist each.
Aberdeen goalies Owen Smith had three saves and one save, respectively.
Joppa topped
The Joppatowne boys (1-2 overall, 0-2 Susquehanna) were knocked off 3-2 on Tuesday by visiting Bo Manor.
Thaliek Willis and Dale Marx each had one goal in the loss.
Austin Koscan had eight saves in the Joppatowne net.
