Edgewood opens boys hoop season with win over Tech

The Edgewood Rams boys basketball team took the court for the first time this season Wednesday night at Harford Tech and left with an 48-46 win over the Cobras.

Junior Tyrone McKisset scored 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Senior Immanuel Gladden-Stokes added a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, while sophomore Rocceon Harrison contributed 10 rebounds and six assists.

Tech led at the half, 23-21.

Boys basketball action continued Tuesday and both C. Milton Wright and North Harford stayed unbeaten after two games.

CMW's win came over visiting Perry Hall, 68-37.

Junior Corey Bays scored 16 points and senior Mychal Stefanides added 14 to lead four Mustangs in double figures. Henry Cuffee and Dante Brown also reached double digits, with 10 and 11 points, respectively. Brown also had nine rebounds.

Stefanides and Bays had five steals each and Will Hazelton and Stefanides had five assists each.

Hawks are 2-0

North Harford stayed unbeaten with an 52-45 win over winless and visiting Bel Air (0-2).

Brett Hurley scored 18 points (16 in second half) and added five assists. Andrew Klapka had 14 points and eight rebounds. Andrew Langan finished with nine points, six rebounds and three assists.

Warriors beat Eagles

Havre de Grace (1-1) picked up its first win, defeating visiting Aberdeen, 62-58.

Krs Yancy scored 19 points to lead the Warriors and Jordan Hawthorne added 15 points in the win.

The Eagles slipped to 0-2.

HCS is 5-0

In a league contest on Tuesday, Harford Christian routed host Carroll Christian, 92-21.

Moe Epps had 20 points, 10 assists, eight steals and five rebounds. Sean Hughes contributed 17 points, eight steals, seven rebounds and four assists.

Rashawd Clowney and Paul Franco chipped in nine points apiece. HCS led 46-9 at the half.
