Friday night marked the beginning of the region playoffs for boys basketball teams.
Three Route 40 schools, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen and Edgewood, each moved on, while a few others did not.
Havre de Grace had the most lopsided win, rolling over an out-manned, physically smaller and visiting St. Michael's team, 75-30, in a Class 1A East contest.
Havre de Grace, because of a scorebook violation, fell behind 1-0 before the clock started.
The Warriors (19-3), however, ran off a 17-0 run when the clock did start and never looked back in the easy, 45-point win. The Warriors will host Kent County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in quarterfinal play. Kent beat Bo Manor, 97-67, Friday.
Havre de Grace led 19-7 after one quarter, but quickly pushed the lead to near 20 with a 10-2 run to begin quarter two. The lead was 33-14 with 3:26 left and 37-14 with 1:53 left. Both stoppages were St. Michael's timeouts.
The halftime lead was 41-17 and it didn't get any better for the Saints in the third quarter. Havre de Grace opened the second half on a 13-0 run and when the quarter was over, the Warriors had outscored the Saints, 22-2, to lead 63-19.
The lead grew as large as 50 (72-22) with all 13 players on the roster scoring. Jordan Hawthorne scored 14 points and added six assists to lead. Zayrron Blake (13 points, nine rebounds) and Krs Yancey (10 points) also reached double figures. Freshman Antonio Smith led the Saints with 16.
Rams beat Bobcats
Edgewood (12-8) moved on in 3A North, knocking off visiting Bel Air (7-15), 78-61. The Rams led 34-22 at the half. The Rams will either host Patapsco or visit Dundalk in Tuesday's round.
Donavin Tilley led the Rams with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Raekwon Harrison added eight points and 10 assists and Immanuel Gladden-Stokes netted 14 points. Tyrone McKisset chipped in 11 points.

Eagles handle Hawks
Aberdeen (12-10) won a low-scoring 3A North game at North Harford, 35-28. There were just four baskets made in the second half by both teams.
Nyshaun Greene scored 12 points to lead the Eagles. Jayden Saddler added nine points and Jaleel Gibson had eight.
Aberdeen plays at C. Milton Wright (19-1) on Tuesday.The Hawks season ends at 9-13.
In 2A East, Fallston (3-20) saw its season end at Elkton, losing 69-49. Elkton will visit Patterson Mill (8-11) in Tuesday's round. Harford Tech (15-7) will also be in action Tuesday, hosting Rising Sun, a 42-29 winner over North East on Friday.
In 1A East, Joppatowne (17-3) will host Colonel Richardson in Tuesday's round. Colonel Richardson knocked off Perryville, 56-52, Friday.
