The crowd was smaller than last year, but the 2015 Bel Air Town Run still drew more than 1,000 runners and walkers Sunday to the streets of the Harford County seat for a 3.1-mile run around town.

The sun was shining and the temperatures were just right for the race that draws lots of families. Mom and dads come to cheer on their kids and kids yell from the sidelines for their parents or siblings.

For some, it's generations running together, with moms or dads running side by side with their kids. This year, 1,213 officially finished the race.

Winning again this year was Dustin Meeker, 33, of Baltimore, in 15:14, beating his first-place time last year of 15:27.

The first woman to cross the finish line and eighth overall was Melissa Tanner, 34, of Baltimore, in 17:28. Megan DiGregorio, 27, of White Marsh and Carol Rowe, 43, of Richmond, Utah, were second and third, respectively, in 18:15 and 18:52.
