A woman in her 50s jumped to her death from the Bel Air parking garage Wednesday morning, police said.
Bel Air Police said that at 9:56 a.m. they received a call about a woman in trauma arrest on the sidewalk in front of the parking garage at 16 South Hickory Ave. Police said the woman was near the stairwell on the Courtland Street side of the garage. The victim was attended to by Harford County Sheriff's deputies, who were first to arrive.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, but was later pronounced dead. Bel Air Police Department detectives are investigating the woman's death. Police said that preliminary information has led detectives to believe the death was a suicide. No foul play is suspected. Bel Air Police said no other information is available.
