Bel Air Police issue statement on Thursday's Freddie Gray demonstration

The Bel Air Police Department issued a brief statement Friday morning regarding Thursday evening's Freddie Gray demonstration in front of the Harford County Courthouse:

"The Bel Air Police Department along with the Maryland State Police, Harford County Sheriff's Office, Aberdeen Police, Havre de Grace Police and the Department of Emergency Services monitored the downtown area, Bel Air High School and Harford Mall for protesters or signs of unrest.

"A small peaceful group holding signs assembled in front of the Harford County Circuit Courthouse. It is important that law enforcement and the community work together to provide a safe environment for our citizens. Overall, those who assembled to exercise their right to free speech did so peacefully and without incident. No problems or disturbances were observed."
