A Forest Hill man is accused in a home invasion and robbery reported Sunday morning in Bel Air, the city's police department reported.
Tyler Mitchell Hoerr, 22, allegedly forced his way into a home in the first block of South Kelly Avenue, behind the Bel Air Town Center shopping center, shortly before 6:56 a.m., according to a police press release.
The victim was familiar with the suspect, according to the press release.
Hoerr allegedly entered the home swinging a baseball bat and demanding money. A "scuffle" ensued and Hoerr allegedly ran off with the victim's wallet, according to the press release.
Police found Hoerr's vehicle nearby and took him into custody. In the vehicle was a bat that may have been used in the assault, as well as the victim's wallet, according to the press release.
Neither Hoerr nor the victim was injured.
Hoerr, who lives in the 500 block of Chestnut Hill Road, was charged with first-, second- and third-degree burglary, second-degree assault and theft less than $1,000, according to online court records.
He was being held Monday at the Harford County Detention Center on $7,500 bail, according to online court records..
