An Aberdeen woman died from injuries sustained in a three car crash Friday afternoon involving a minivan, box truck and a Jeep in Bel Air.

The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Route 22 near Brierhill Drive and in front of the CVS Drugs store at the Greenbrier Shopping Center.

According to state police, the box truck, which was traveling west on Route 22 just east of Brierhill Road, crossed the double yellow line, striking an eastbound blue Dodge Caravan in the front.

Police said the Caravan was pushed backward and started to spin. The minivan and the box truck then hit a red Jeep, which was traveling east behind the Caravan.

Police said they don't know why the box truck crossed the double yellow lines.

The driver of the Caravan was flown to shock trauma, Rich Gardiner, spokesperson for Harford County Fire and EMS Association, said.

The driver of the Jeep, later identified as Ivette Naida from Nashville, Tenn., was also transported the hospital.

State police said the driver of the box truck was Terry Brinegar, 56, of the 1700 block of Route 22.

Neither Maryland State Police nor Gardiner could say if any other people were injured.

Traffic was detoured off Route 22 at the accident scene and through the shopping center. The detour was in effect for more than an hour, police said.
