Abingdon bank robbed Wednesday afternoon

The Harford County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help find a man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Abingdon Wednesday afternoon.

The man entered the bank, in the 400 block of Constant Friendship Boulevard, at 2:30 p.m., implied he had a weapon and demanded money, according to a flier sent by the Sheriff's Office.

The suspect then fled the bank, with an undisclosed amount of cash, in the direction of Tollgate Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, who is 5 feet 6 inches tall to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a slender build, a dark complexion, short hair and facial hair, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Chris Maddox at 443-409-3551. To be eligible for an award, people are asked to submit a tip via harfordsheriff.org/wanted, 1-888-540-8477 or by texting "CRIMES" (274637) to Metro Crime Stoppers (starting the message with "MCS," then adding the information).
